Deleting a Menu Item
Items can only be deleted from the system if they do not have an attached sales history.
To delete an item
Navigate to the active event within the organizer dashboard
Select the "Revenue Centers" tab from the top of the page
If the item appears in multiple revenue centers, click the "All Items" tab within the revenue center management page
βIf the item appears only in one revenue center, select the revenue center from the list where the item lives
Within the selected revenue center settings, navigate to the "Items Tab"
Scroll, or use the filters at the top of the page, to find the item that you wish to delete
Click the Delete button on the right side of the listed item(s)
Note: If the item exists within the favorite screen of the POS, it will need to be removed as a favorite item before it can be deleted from the system
Archiving a Menu Item
Items that have an attached sales history cannot be deleted. Archiving is utilized to hide access to a menu item within the POS application and prevent it from being sold further.
To archive an item:
Navigate to the active event within the organizer dashboard
Select the "Revenue Centers" tab from the top of the page
If the item appears in multiple revenue centers, click the "All Items" tab within the revenue center management page
If the item appears only in one revenue center, select the revenue center from the list where the item lives
Within the selected revenue center settings, navigate to the "Items Tab"
Scroll, or use the filters at the top of the page, to find the item that you wish to archive
Click the Edit button on the right side of the listed item(s)
Within the item's edit screen, Scroll down to "Status" and toggle it to from Active --> Archived
βClick Update at the bottom of the page to confirm
Repeat the above steps for each item that needs to be archived
