Dashboard: Importing Credentials UIDS

Each RFID Credential has a unique UID that can be associated with your event prior to it taking place.

Updated over 2 months ago

You may choose to have wristband UIDs uploaded in the dashboard for a few reasons. This is a way to add promotional cash onto specific wristbands or validate an entire list of wristbands before an event.

How to Import Wristband UIDs

Your wristband distributor likely provided a list of UIDs associated with the wristbands. You’ll need this list before importing the numbers.

  • In the Events section of your dashboard, click on the Wristbands tab.

  • Click on the Actions drowndown and select Import Wristbands. You will find this under the list of filters.

Related Questions

Is it mandatory to import wristband UIDs?
No, it is not. You may choose to import the UIDs and have them validated. Attendees can still register their wristbands with or without prior UID validation.

Will uploading UIDs prevent other UIDs from being activated?
No. They must be validated to prevent other UIDs from being activated. This allows you to upload smaller batches of UIDs with promotional currency without blocking general admission UIDs from being activated.

After uploading UIDs, how do I have them validated?
Contact your Client Success Manager or Billfold Customer Support.

What is the benefit of wristband validation?
When guests register their wristbands before attending the event, they will receive an error if an incorrect UID is entered. This allows them to re-enter the UID. If the UID has not been previously validated, the guest will not receive an error. However, using an activation kiosk to register their wristband when they arrive is easy.
