How to Create a New Event by Copying a Previous Event
Open the Billfold Dashboard.
On the left, click Events.
Find the most recent event. Use the filters at the top of the page to guide you if needed.
Once you find the event you wish to copy, click View on the right.
Use the Actions dropdown on the right side of the screen and select Copy Event. Do not select New Event.
Give the copied event a name. Tip: include a date in the name to make it easier to find later.
Use the date picker and choose a date with a range starting on the day of the event and ending a few days after it is finished. The rest of the details can stay the same.
Click Copy.
IMPORTANT: Devices must be re-licensed. You can Transfer Licenses to the New Event
Descriptor Names
For many events, the Descriptor Name should change. This is what shows up on credit card statements. Update this in Event Settings.
Inside the dashboard event, click the Event tab.
Use the Action button to select Edit.
Under Business Details, replace the text in the boxes that say Descriptor Business Name and Descriptor Item Name. A descriptor typically includes the merchant's business name and potential location or product/service information.
